The Problem

Victorinox Indonesia needed to list their full global product catalog on regional marketplaces, but with one catch: every page, image, and copyline had to pass HQ approval. The global brand guidelines were strict - knives looked different from luggage, which looked different from travel gear.

Building 200+ marketplace product pages by hand, getting individual HQ sign-offs for each, was logistically impossible. They needed a system that could produce marketplace-optimized pages while keeping strict brand consistency.

Adding complexity: different categories (knives, luggage, bags) had different photography needs, product specs, and UX patterns. A simple template could not work.

Our Solution

We designed a category-specific template system in Figma: one for knives, one for luggage, one for bags, one for travel accessories. Each template applied Victorinox global design language (color, typography, layout rhythm) while accommodating category-specific imagery and specs.

Week 1-2: audit 200+ SKUs, categorize by product type, align with HQ on category frameworks. Weeks 3-8: build Figma templates, library of approved assets (logos, icons, photography), and spec sheets for each category.

Weeks 9-12: templated production. For each SKU: slot product specs - reference approved photography - auto-generate marketplace page. HQ review happened once per category template, not per page, across all four categories.

Template & Workflow

  • Design System:Figma (4 category templates)
  • Production Workflow:Airtable + Zapier automation
  • Marketplace APIs:Tokopedia, Shopee, native connectors
  • Asset Management:Cloudinary (centralized image library)
  • Approval Tool:Figma + email sign-off workflow
  • Analytics:Google Analytics 4
"Templates meant HQ approved the system, not 200 individual pages. One template sign-off = 50 compliant pages. Scale without the approval bottleneck."

Template Categories

1. Knife & Multi-Tool Pages

High-resolution imagery showcasing blade detail and craftsmanship. Spec sheets (steel type, weight, dimensions) integrated into layout.

2. Luggage & Hard-Side Bags

Travel-focused photography showing durability, interior pockets, TSA approval. Spec-heavy: dimensions, weight capacity, warranty.

3. Everyday Bags & Accessories

Lifestyle imagery paired with everyday-carry specs. Instagram-optimized for platform partnerships and influencer co-marketing.

4. Unified Checkout & Marketplace Sync

Centralized inventory synced across Tokopedia, Shopee, official store. One SKU database, multiple marketplace presentations.

"Before, we had brand chaos. Every page looked different. Now, one system produces 200 compliant pages. HQ reviews templates, not pages. We launched new categories 10x faster."
